Please note, effective until Spring 2012, I will be working a limited schedule. Due to my current case load and accompanying time commitments, working with new clients will be limited to puppy and "normal" training issues. If you are seeking help for a dog that has exhibited aggressive or compulsive behavior or has separation anxiety, please email me and I will refer you to other training help. Group Puppy & Dog Training
Cerena offers group puppy training & dog training. She has taught thousands of classes in puppy training & socialization, basic through advanced obedience dog training for adolescent and adult dogs, clicker training, tricks, tracking, competition obedience, Growly Dog classes, Canine Nose Work and Canine Good Citizen – Cerena became Canine Good Citizen Evaluator in 2001. Cerena was one of the first trainers to offer field trip classes and hers include: Good Manners in the Real World, Loose-leash Walking, Reliable Recall and Real World class for The Unconfident Canine. Class sizes are limited and individual instruction is provided in all courses. Please see Class Schedule page for details about current and upcoming classes. Cerena is also available for teaching classes and workshops for private and community groups.
Group classes are currently offered at Planet Pooch, a wonderful daycare for dogs in Redwood City. The rooms used for our training classes all have thickly matted floors. Located right off Hwy 101 and Woodside Road at 866 Kaynyne St. Planet Pooch is just minutes away from Hayward, South San Francisco, San Bruno, Burlingame, San Mateo, Belmont, Hillsborough, San Carlos, Foster City, Redwood Shores, Menlo Park, Atherton, Woodside, Palo Alto, Portola Valley, Los Altos, Mountain View, and Sunnyvale.
Private Training for Puppies and Dogs
Training services include private training and behavior modification programs for puppies and dogs. Often, problems are solved in one or 2 sessions, but if not, training packages can offer private training at a discount. Cerena treats a myriad of issues from the common, such as house training your puppy, puppy chewing and biting, not coming when called, general and obedience training issues to the more problematic ones including, fear, aggression and compulsive behaviors.
Board & Train
Board & Train services are for clients only. Boarding alone is not offered.
Speciality Dog & Puppy Training
Other specialties include assisting clients choose "the right dog", life-time conditioning for young puppies; how to prepare dogs for a new baby; introducing a new dog into the household teaching swimming with “pool proofing” to prevent drowning, training dogs for participation in wedding parties - including as ring bearer; working dogs through problems in competition obedience and in other vocations including assistance training. Cerena is also available for teaching classes and workshops for private and community groups.
