Finding a Qualified Dog Trainer

Being a certified trainer does not guarantee that a trainer is good or proficient, however, at the very least, they have an accurate understanding of dog training and behavior. Above are two sources for finding "certified" trainers. I recommend talking to several trainers before deciding on one and to watch a trainer's class before signing up. Any selling of ridiculously priced training, miraculous training or punitive type training is a cue to keep looking!
