Group
Cerena offers group puppy training & dog training. She has taught thousands of classes in puppy socialization & manners, basic through advanced training for adolescent and adult dogs, clicker training, tricks, tracking, competition obedience, Growly Dog classes, and Canine Good Citizen – Cerena became Canine Good Citizen Evaluator in 2001. Cerena was one of the first trainers to offer field trip classes and hers include: Good Manners in the Real World, Loose-leash Walking, Reliable Recall and Real World class for The Unconfident Canine. Class sizes are limited and individual instruction is provided in all courses. Please see Course Schedules page for details about current and upcoming classes. Cerena is also available for teaching classes and workshops for private and community groups.
Private
Training services include private training and behavior modification programs for puppies and dogs. Often, problems are solved in one or 2 sessions, but if not, training packages can offer private training at a discount. Cerena treats a myriad of issues from the common, such as housebreaking, puppy chewing and biting, not coming when called, general and competition obedience issues to the more problematic ones including, fear, aggression and compulsive behaviors.
Board & Train services are for clients only. Boarding alone is offered.
NEW ! Private 30 minute training sessions are available in Los Altos and Redwood City. Locations are: The American Legion Hall (in the rear room), 347 First Street, Los Altos. Planet Pooch, 866 Kaynyne St, Redwood City - which is very close to Hwy 101 and Woodside Road.
Specialities
Other specialties include assisting clients choose "the right dog", life-time conditioning for young puppies; how to prepare dogs for a new baby; introducing a new dog into the household teaching swimming with “pool proofing” to prevent drowning, training dogs for participation in wedding parties - including as ring bearer; working dogs through problems in competition obedience and in other vocations including assistance training. Cerena is also available for teaching classes and workshops for private and community groups.
